My Current Development Setup

A short tour of the editor, terminal, keyboard layer, and browser tools I use for daily frontend work.

This is the compact version of my development setup. The interesting parts are not the product names. They are the small decisions that remove repeated work: one project command, predictable pane movement, and a keyboard layer that behaves the same in every application.

The provider ID and chapter times in this Phase 1 entry are temporary. They exist so the video facade, chapter list, metadata, and related-content layout can be tested before the final recording is available.

Mentioned in the recording#

  • A project-local command for starting every development service
  • A restrained editor configuration that stays readable on a laptop screen
  • Browser performance recordings for investigating slow interactions
  • The Caps Lock navigation layer described in the related writing entry
